Aran Major, editor, co-producer, co-director I formed AzInc in the early hours of 2002 immediately networking with the Byron Bay local film and digital media community. Building a full and exciting port folio of work which includes short films like “Body Parts” screened at 2005 Cannes short film corner and directed by Ron Bay as well as “Meat Tray” directed by Frank Coorey and winner of the 2004 BOFF short film festival. “Mythos” a short animation I produced, screened at the 2004 Pitch'n Punt competition hosted by Screenworks, was inspired by an early Greek Myth telling the origins of “Eros”, and drew on the works of the Masters in classical, renaissance and contemporary art to evoke the atmosphere in which a God could be born. The list goes on to include web casts (www.byrontv.net), digital video installations like Video Diabolico, a collaboration of digital video artists creating an installation of interactive video media (2004 Splendour in the Grass Rock Concert), Rock Clips, Doco's, short films and promotional videos. In 2003, in collaboration with Frank Coorey and Faye Livock, I cofounded the Byron Film Club under the umbrella of Island Quarry, operating as the Club's curator. Sponsored by Screenworks and the Island Quarry the Club continues to screen films produced by the local film making community. To find out more about the Byron Film Club go to www.screenworks.au/bfc. In 2004-2005 AzInc undertook to deliver a new and exciting model of cinema slide advertising to the Byron Lounge Cinema, providing cinema audiences with a richer more entertaining cinematic experience. This has been a successful venture with a client base that is continuing to grow. In 2004-2005 AzInc was offered the opportunity to team up with Paul Benhaim in the production of “The Not Cooking Show”, a concept of Paul's designed to make accessible the Idea of Raw Food in day to day life. Delivering not only exciting recipés but also an education in nutrition and the different ways food can help our bodies..The the journey has been both exciting and educational leading to the production of this DVD. We thoroughly hope you enjoy The Not Cooking Show as much as we enjoyed the making of it.
